Having worked with so many Nebraskans facing serious money troubles, Sera Jones knows that bankruptcy is often more than a legal and financial matter. She understands that many people are embarrassed about seeking protection from creditors, or view bankruptcy as some sort of failure. When this occurs, Sera emphasizes that bankruptcy is created for people like them who need help recovering from a financial setback so they can return to the life they want.

Starting in law school, Sera has volunteered for several groups that provide pro bono legal services to indigent clients.

During her free time, Sera plays tennis near her home in Omaha’s Dundee section and enjoys sampling the area’s restaurants.
